Welded steel pipe is also called welded pipe or welded stainless steel pipe.Though curling and welding, the plate or strip finally become steel pipe.
The welded pipe has simple manufacturing process, high efficiency , variety specifications and less equipment capital,but its strengh is not as well as seamless steel pipe.Specifications of welded pipe have been growing which is taking place carbon steel pipe of the seamless stainless steel pipe since the 1930s.
According to the form of welding, welded steel pipe can divided into longitudinal and spiral welded Y strainer.
Not only because longitudinal pipe's production process is simple, but it has high efficiency and low cost so that it has a rapid development recent years.The longitudinal pipe is not as strong as the spiral one.
Thus, the pipe with a smaller caliber almost use straight seam welding.However, large-diameter pipe use spiral welding steel pipe.
